Calming Hobbies to Help Women Heal,

One Day at a Time

Real support for women managing neurodivergence, healing from trauma, and navigating menopause.

“I have no idea what hit me.

I just turned 40, but it feels like everything is falling apart. And the worst part about it?

I feel like no one understands.”

Does that sound like you?

If you can relate, you’ve found a safe place - a community where women come to find calm and release the emotional energy they've been holding onto for a very, very long time.

Through hobbies, puzzles, books, videos, and more, you'll find calm in the chaos and a little space where you won't feel alone.

Feel Seen, Heard, and Supported

We experience the world with a brain that processes information, emotions, and social interactions differently than what people expect – not to mention what’s expected as a woman.

We often have to navigate invisibility, misunderstanding, and pressure to conform. But it can also come with resilience, insight, and unique strengths. And that’s what we need to harness.

My YouTube channel @SerenaLovesBooks highlights books that have helped me change my perspective and grow emotionally and can help you too!

How to heal from

childhood trauma

Healing from childhood trauma is a deeply personal journey (and a bumpy one at that!) that only we ourselves can take. But it begins with acknowledging your experiences and giving yourself permission to heal.

Calming Hobbies has helped women take baby steps toward honouring their inner child, supporting their healing process and providing practical tips to help them learn to carry their past with understanding.

You, too, can benefit from my Free tips and recommendations and start feeling more like the person you know you are (or want to become). Join my weekly email newsletter. Or visit my YouTube channel, enjoy the videos above.

Managing the mind-boggling

menopause

Just when we thought PMS was no fun, along comes peri-menopause. Rather than being a setback, this phase can be a powerful invitation to slow down, tune in, and care for ourselves in deeper, more intentional ways. The shifting hormones may bring challenges like brain fog, sleepless nights, or mood swings — but they also mark a new chapter of wisdom, strength, and rediscovery.

With the right support, managing menopause becomes less about coping and more about stepping into a renewed version of ourselves. More about that in the newsletter!

Hi! I'm Serena,

founder of Calming Hobbies.

I am creating a safe space for women like me – neurodivergent women going through menopause (& trauma) - who want to heal from the inside, feel empowered, and feel understood. I’ve gained insight and experience from my own journey - from how to heal my childhood trauma to navigating menopause and neurodivergence.

I created Calming Hobbies to share what works (& has been tested) and support other women through videos, books, articles, and, you guessed it! Hobbies.

Please send me a message of what you would like to receive to be supported on your personal healing journey.
